Welcome to my little space on the interwebs, friends. Life can be lonely and hard. Praying you will take me along with you on this crazy ride and let me encourage you through the mess.
May mama, I see you. ❤️
May is a magical month where the longer spring days, tease you with the reminder that summer is right around the corner. My children are school aged and the glorious month has turned into something else entirely.
CHAOS!
Years ago I loved the Holderness family call the month of May, “Maycemeber.” It is like all the craziness of December without the cookies, twinkle lights, and presents. HA! (Highly recommend watching their music video on this.)
Who decided that Teacher Appreciation should be in May anyway? End-of-the-year parties, sports teams ending, recitals, 1st Communions, swim team starting, one million Birthday parties, camps, vacations, and VBS to plan for. It is crazy around our home. Most days I can hardly keep my head above water. Our dinners may not be as healthy or thought out as our October menu, but if they have food in their bellies, let us call it a win! The homework and end-of-year projects may not be done well, or at all but honestly, I strive for peace in our home. We are doing what we can. Take a deep breath, friends. Picture what life will look like in a month.
Summer! ☀️
A busy, but also slower way of life. Sleeping a little later, less time in the car, more time in the pool, and those dreamy long summer nights.
Give yourself Grace this month and know the end of a school year is usually crazy. Don’t let it rule you. Stay present in those moments that you want to remember. My challenge for you is to find the joy in the chaos and make sure you are taking some time for yourself.
Mama’s all around the world are with you. We can do it! 💪🏼❤️🌸
May your Maycemeber be Blessed, friends.
